Güde Synchros - forged beauties in form and function

With the Synchros series, the Solingen traditional company Güde is opening a new chapter in the history of knife production. These innovative chef's knives impress first with their unusual appearance, and then with the "aha" experience when used for the first time. They become one with the hand and are therefore unusually easy and effortless to cut with.

Thanks to the new line guidance, anyone who works with a Synchros can choose their individual grip position of the knife - depending on the application and according to personal preference. As the name "Synchros" suggests, this series synchronizes hand and knife, ensuring that both are always balanced. It doesn't matter which grip variant (over-grip, hybrid grip, or normal grip) the knife is held in. And no matter what blade length the knife has, all Synchros knives have the same handle length of 12.5 cm. This makes them optimally adapted to the human hand.

The Handle

The convex, solid handle of the Güde Synchros is made of flamed smoked oak and feels comfortable and secure in the hand. The unusual shape of the knife results in an elevated grip position, allowing for targeted force during cutting and a safe distance from the cutting board. The continuous, underlying tang ensures a balanced knife.

The Synchros knives from Güde, like all Güde knives, are forged from a single piece of steel using traditional drop forging techniques from Solingen. The seamless transition between handle and blade eliminates any rough edges on the Synchros.

The Blade

Cut where the force is strongest, thanks to the fully sharpened blade at the heel: another unique feature of the Güde Synchros knife. This makes it ideal for Asian cuisine as well. The slightly convex shape of the edge allows for perfect cutting. If the sharpness dulls, the Synchros, like all Güde knives, can be easily sharpened.

Storage

The Synchros knives can be stored in drawer inserts, magnetic knife blocks, and on magnetic strips. Only knife blocks with slots may not work due to the tapering spine towards the tip.

The Collection

The Synchros series includes four different knives:

A prep knife with a pointed blade. It can be used as a chef's, vegetable, tomato, or paring knife and is also ideal for small hands.

A chef's knife, for all applications of a classic chef's, Santoku, or herb knife.

A carving knife with a slim, partially flexible blade. It is suitable for all requirements of a meat, fillet, or ham knife.

A bread knife. The special Güde serrated edge cuts bread without crushing it.

With these four knives, almost all common applications in professional and hobby kitchens can be covered.
