The Handle Material of the Güde Universal Knife
Güde universal knives with handles made of thermoplastic polyoxymethylene (POM) offer a variety of color combinations in black/white, black/yellow, black/orange, or black/red.
In this version with a striped and finely polished handle, they are dishwasher safe. For a more elegant option, you should choose the Güde universal knives with olive wood handles. These are, of course, not dishwasher safe. All handle scales are attached with stainless steel rivets.
How to Keep Universal Knives Sharp
To have sharp knives even after years, we recommend using cutting boards made of wood. How about a Boos Blocks cutting board made of North American hard maple? Hard maple is stable, durable, long-lasting, hygienic, knife-friendly, and easy to clean. It also inhibits bacterial growth.
Although the manufacturer Güde guarantees dishwasher safety, we recommend not putting the knives in the dishwasher but cleaning them by hand with a soft, damp cloth.
