The KAI Pure Komachi Graters, Zester, and Julienne Slicer are equipped with extremely durable and sharp blades. The blade material is SUS304 stainless steel. Each piece was awarded the "German Design Award Special" and the "reddot Design Award" in 2016.
The special feature of the KAI Pure Komachi series is the Japanese blade pattern. Each pattern is reminiscent of the classic Kimono pattern, known as Edo-Komon. Combined with a special etching technique, only a reduced amount of force is needed during use. Delicate foods like vegetables or spices are cut precisely and not crushed. This allows the aroma and flavor to fully develop. All Pure Komachi graters have a colored ergonomic handle made of elastomer. They are all dishwasher safe.
