Tim Mälzer and the Japanese cutlery specialist KAI have developed a unique junior chef's knife together. Children from the age of 6 can easily learn the proper use of kitchen tools.
The junior chef's knife has a non-slip and ergonomically shaped handle that fits securely in smaller hands. It has a stainless steel blade with a serrated edge that minimizes the risk of slipping. This supports the intuitive cutting (sawing motion) of children. To reduce the risk of injury, the knife is also equipped with a specially rounded, blunt tip and a blunt end. The flexible finger guard provides maximum protection and teaches children the correct finger position (claw grip) when cutting. It is included in the set with the junior chef's knife. The knife was developed and designed by KAI Japan.
