MIYABI 4000 FC Koya

MIYABI 4000 FC Koya – Japanese sharpness in a purist form

The MIYABI 4000 FC Koya series is aimed at those who appreciate Japanese precision while preferring a particularly reduced, modern design. Technically, the series is based on the proven MIYABI 4000 FC, but visually and tangibly it sets clear, distinctive accents.

The blades are made from FC61 fine-grained steel and are hardened using the FRIODUR® ice-hardening process. With a hardness of about 61 HRC, the knives offer long-lasting sharpness and a balanced combination of edge retention and everyday usability.

As with the classic MIYABI 4000 FC, the knives are made from a single steel and feature a double-sided Japanese edge. This allows for precise, controlled cuts, making the knives suitable for both right- and left-handed users.

The key difference from the MIYABI 4000 FC lies in the handle design. While the 4000 FC series has an octagonal Pakkawood handle, the MIYABI 4000 FC Koya features a slimmer, minimalist handle made of light wood. The reduced design language creates a particularly calm, modern appearance and a subtle tactile feel.

The purist approach of the Koya series is also evident in its balance. The handle supports precise guidance and a controlled cutting feel, especially for fine cutting tasks.

Within the MIYABI collections, MIYABI 4000 FC Koya is positioned at the same quality level as the 4000 FC, but it is aimed at users who consciously prefer a reduced design and wish to forgo classic handle shapes.

MIYABI 4000 FC Koya is ideal for you if you are looking for the proven cutting performance of the 4000 FC series while preferring a particularly clear, modern appearance and a restrained design.
