With a height of 16 cm, the Madras convinces not only by its pleasant handling but also by a technical innovation: the omission of the vertical central shaft. This structural novelty significantly simplifies filling the salt reservoir while also providing a larger capacity. For maximum precision when seasoning, the salt mill is equipped with the patented u’Select system, which allows easy and exact adjustment of the grind setting in six predefined steps – optimally matched to every dish.

Inside, the innovative Zirlion salt grinding mechanism operates, a Peugeot development made from zirconia, one of the most demanding and resilient materials. It enables grinding of dry salt up to an especially fine, powdery consistency and guarantees intense salt flavor even with small amounts. A 25-year warranty is granted on this grinding mechanism in Germany. The salt mill is suitable for dry salt crystals up to a size of 6 mm and is not intended for moist sea salt, even if dried.
