Stainless with d5 technology was specifically designed to meet the demands of the latest generation of professional induction cooktops, which have a power output of up to 10KW per induction coil. Such high power and the resulting extreme temperature increases in the cookware require exceptional torsional rigidity to prevent deformation of the cookware and ensure even heat distribution. This is achieved through a stainless steel core in the middle of the two layers of aluminum, which acts as a heat blocker and slows down the temperature increase. d5 technology is useful for induction and gas cooktops with very high power; for household cooktops, this construction is not necessary due to the lower power output. On the contrary, the Stainless series with a three-layer construction is more advantageous here, as it heats up faster and saves time. Therefore, we recommend our Stainless and Copper-Core series for household cooktops of all types (electric, ceramic, gas, and induction), except for induction cooktops with a power output of 4KW per coil or higher, for which the Stainless d5 series is recommended.
