Details
The Exklusiv C90 chef's knife is a true Damascus knife through and through. The 18 cm long blade consists of 210 hand-forged carbon steel layers with a carbon content of 0.9% and reaches a hardness of approximately 62 HRC. The single-sided hollow grind gives the knife an unprecedented sharpness experience in this price range. To reduce the usual maintenance effort for Damascus knives, the blade has been refined with the innovative Nesmuk Protective Coating coating technology (NPC). The only a few micrometers thin silicon layer preserves it permanently and the blades can boast the attribute of being corrosion-resistant. The C90 chef's knife is the lightest chef's knife in the Exklusiv series at approximately 130 grams (depending on the handle). In this price range, there is no better, genuine Damascus knife. The massive and seamless handle in this variant is made of the high-tech plastic Micarta in black. This plastic is impact-resistant, hard and break-proof, as well as highly resistant to moisture, acids and alkalis. Therefore, Micarta is often chosen as a handle material by professional chefs. The transition between the blade and handle is adorned with a ferrule made of highly polished stainless steel. The Exklusiv C90 chef's knife comes in a high-quality matte black box with the Nesmuk authenticity certificate.
