Skeppshult Retro
For almost 120 years, Skeppshult has stood for genuine cast artistry from the forests of Småland. From an extensive archive of classic models, a special reinterpretation will emerge in 2026 – on the occasion of the 120th anniversary –: the fully cast pan with a characteristic cast-iron handle in an authentic retro design.
The pans of the Skeppshult Retro series combine traditional craftsmanship with modern functionality. Made from a single solid piece of cast iron, they impress with both new and classic, subtly worked details. The reduced wall-thickness design makes them noticeably lighter compared with many other cast-iron pans while also being energy-efficient – in the spirit of traditional, hand-cast pans of bygone times.
The more slenderly worked base provides particularly pleasant handling and effortless maneuvering of the pan while ensuring even heat distribution. The likewise slim cast-iron handle with an integrated hollow chamber combines stability with reduced weight; during prolonged use it may warm up, but remains comfortable to handle. Thanks to the robust cast-iron handle, the pans are also oven-safe. At high heat, the use of a handle protector or oven mitt is recommended.
