Mincing Knives

One of the specialties of triangle tools are mincing knives. Traditionally, mincing knives are used for chopping herbs and spices such as basil and garlic or for chopping nuts and almonds - it's quick and easy. And depending on taste or intended use, the food can be chopped from coarse to very fine. Through the manual process of mincing, you always have the current status in view, and it cannot happen like when using a food processor, for example, that you end up with mushy onion puree instead of finely diced onions. Large mincing knives can also be used to cut flat baked goods such as sheet cake or pizza.

The Wiegemesser knives from the brand triangle are handmade and carefully sharpened in a multi-stage process. The fine honing is also done manually on a grinding belt. The hardened blade is a rarity among Wiegemesser knives - it is characterized by high sharpness and long durability. This sharp blade is an important factor when chopping herbs that contain essential oils, such as thyme and sage. With a dull blade, the herbs would be crushed, causing the volatile oil and its aroma to be lost. Cutting with a sharp Wiegemesser blade preserves these essential oils and their delicious flavors.

Triangle tools offers single-bladed and double-bladed Wiegemesser knives in its range. Single-bladed knives allow for more precise guidance, while double-bladed knives handle larger quantities of chopped material more quickly. Wiegemesser knives with two blades are also suitable for hash-making and chopping meat. Hand-chopped hash or hash meat has a different quality than machine-chopped meat. The finer, hand-cut version is often needed for traditional dishes, such as the basis for Labskaus, a North German classic, or for Beuschel, a recipe from Austrian cuisine.

Two handles ensure a secure grip on the Wiegemesser knives and optimal power transmission. This allows for fatigue-free work. You have the choice between modern or traditionally shaped wooden handles or plastic handles. To preserve the sharpness of the blade and the beauty of the wooden handles, these Wiegemesser knives should be gently cleaned by hand. Models with plastic handles may occasionally be cleaned in the dishwasher according to the manufacturer, but we at Butch recommend cleaning them by hand under running water.

The ideal complement to the Wiegemesser knives is the special Wiegemesser board. Triangle has teamed up with a competent partner for this: The board is made by the label "holzwerk-p", a small woodworking shop based in Solingen. These cutting boards are precisely tailored to the shape of the Wiegemesser knives in close collaboration. The spices and herbs that are chopped are collected in the central recess and thus comfortably lie under the blade. Small rubber feet on the underside of the board prevent slipping and increase safety.

Kitchen knives

Triangle tools knives score with quality "made in Germany": The knives are manufactured in Solingen, and the hardened blade steel is also handcrafted. This gives these knives a high sharpness and long durability. In addition, there is a wide range of products: The brand's principle is to have the right knife for every purpose. With a kitchen knife that is specialized in size, blade shape and handling for the respective intended use, time, energy and nerves can be saved, which is especially appreciated by professionals in the gastronomy industry. That's why triangle tools not only offer universal knives, but also specialists such as chestnut knives, crab knives, cheese knives, cake knives and tomato knives.

The triangle tomato knife with serrated edge cleanly cuts through the tough skin of tomatoes, peppers and chilies. This makes it possible to cut this vegetable evenly and easily into thin slices. The special so-called "soft" serrated edge can be sharpened with a commercially available sharpening steel.

A practical and clever tool for all "sweet tooths" is the triangle cake knife Spirit. It combines the advantages of a knife and a cake server in one device. The 18 cm long stainless steel blade has a smooth edge for creamy cakes and a serrated edge for firmer cakes. With the wide blade of the knife, the cut piece can also be served immediately.

And for those who want to try their hand at food art, triangle tools offer high-quality carving knives, also called carving knives. With these, true works of art can be created from fruit and vegetables. We at Butch are not really fans of the delicate carving art as it is traditionally known from Asia, but in the future we will be using triangle carving knives to create frightening pumpkin faces for Halloween.
