Details
The Alpha series from Solingen knife maker Güde offers the widest range of products. Each knife is made from a single piece of stainless chrome-vanadium-molybdenum steel, from the tip to the double bolster. The double bolster at the end of the handle, a distinctive feature of Güde knives, acts as a counterweight to the blade.
Knives in the Alpha series are fitted with handle scales made of black Hostaform. This robust plastic is resistant to liquids, oils and acids. Even occasional dishwasher cycles, which you should definitely avoid out of love for your knives, do not harm the handle scales.
Güde knives are manufactured entirely in the Solingen forge. The special steel blend and the elaborate production process with over 30 manual work steps, most of them done by hand, give the blades a hardness of 58±1 HRC and impart particular robustness and longevity.
