KAI Shun Premier Tim Mälzer Fork Set - Handle Pakkawood

Tim Mälzer, the most famous TV chef on German television, is the testimonial for the Shun Premier series by KAI. More than enough is written about Tim Mälzer, so we will tell you something about the knife series for which he is the namesake.

The blades of the KAI Shun Premier Tim Mälzer knives are made of VG-MAX steel, encased in 32 layers of stainless steel in a Damascus style. The hard core reaches a hardness of 61(±1) HRC. The edge is symmetrically and very finely ground, giving the knives an impressive sharpness. But beware: finely ground edges are sensitive to hard cutting materials. Therefore, please only cut fish, meat, vegetables, fruits, and similar items with the knives. Under no circumstances should you cut bones or frozen items with them. The blade could bend or even break.

On the upper half of the blade, there is a hand-crafted hammered surface, called Tschuchime. It looks extremely good and additionally creates an air cushion between the cutting material and the blade, allowing you to glide more easily through the material.

The oval and ergonomically shaped handle is made of pakkawood with a walnut-colored grain. It encloses a full tang, which ensures perfect balance and stability. The tang ends in a stainless steel cap, engraved with the Tim Mälzer Küchenbulle.

Each Shun Premier knife is beautifully packaged in a light wooden box.
