minoSharp Global – suitable for knives with a wide blade without a handguard

Easy to use and efficient in results, that's how we at Butch describe the minoSharp sharpeners. The minoSharp Global sharpener is equipped with two ceramic wheels. The white wheel has a 1000 grit for normal sharpening. For fine sharpening and polishing, you use the pink wheel with a 5000 grit. To ensure nothing wobbles during sharpening, the minoSharp sharpener can be held very well by the handle. Rubber feet on the bottom also prevent slipping.

The application is relatively simple. First, you fill a little water into the container. Then you place your knife in the opening with the white wheel, marked with a 1. Now pull the knife without pressure. Too much pressure can damage the sharpener and the blade. Depending on the dullness of the knife, you should repeat this process 8-10 times. Now repeat this procedure with the pink wheel, marked with a 2. That's it. If you are not satisfied with the result, you can repeat the process as often as you like. As a final act, you should briefly clean both, and you can swing your knife again.

The minoSharp Global sharpener is suitable for symmetrically ground knives with a wide blade without a handguard. So, for Asian chef's knives, Santoku, Nakiri, and similar knives. Unfortunately, you cannot sharpen narrow knives like paring, office, or utility knives with this sharpener. The offset wheels provide an optimal angle and prevent wobbling. Of course, we tested the minoSharp on almost all knives in our range. We only excluded the genuine Damascus knives from Nesmuk. In any case, the result brings us true satisfaction.
