Two things can go wrong when sharpening your knives with a whetstone:
1. using the wrong grit
2. not maintaining the angle
With the Global sharpening guide, you can already check off point 2. The guide is attached to the back of the blade (where the edge is not), and once placed on the whetstone, you have the perfect angle and, most importantly, maintain it during the sharpening motion. Yes!
With this set, you get two sharpening guides in different sizes. Instructions on how to attach them are also included. For easier attachment and to protect the blade, the MinoSharp sharpening guides are lined with plastic on the inside.
