minoSharp Universal PLUS 3 – suitable for all knives

Easy to use and efficient in results, that's how we at Butch describe the minoSharp sharpeners. The minoSharp Sharpener PLUS 3 Universal is equipped with three ceramic wheels. The blue wheel has a 240 grit. With this grit, you can pre-sharpen or repair damaged or heavily used blades. The brown wheel has a 1000 grit for normal sharpening. For fine sharpening and polishing, use the yellow wheel with a 5000 grit. To ensure nothing wobbles during sharpening, the minoSharp sharpener can be held very well by the handle. Rubber feet on the bottom also prevent slipping.

The application is relatively simple. First, you fill a little water into the container. Then you place your knife in the opening with the brown wheel, marked with a 2. Now pull the knife without pressure. Just focus on guiding the knife, its own weight is completely sufficient. Too much pressure can damage the sharpener and the blade. Depending on the dullness of the knife, you should repeat this process 8-10 times. Now repeat this procedure with the yellow wheel, marked with a 3. That's it. Please note that you should only use the blue wheel if your knives are really dull or damaged. For blades that are still in good shape, you don't need this wheel as it removes a relatively large amount of blade material. If you are not satisfied with the result, you can repeat the process as often as you like. As a final act, you should briefly clean both, and then you can swing your knife again.

The minoSharp sharpener is suitable for all symmetrically ground knives, whether they are Japanese or European knives. The offset wheels provide an optimal angle and prevent wobbling. Of course, we tested the minoSharp on almost all knives in our range. We only excluded the genuine Damascus knives from Nesmuk. In any case, the result leaves us truly pleased.
