Suncraft MU Universal Knife 12 cm - Japanese Steel - Pakkawood Handle
If you are looking for a versatile knife for precise cutting tasks, the Suncraft MU utility knife with a 12 cm blade is an excellent choice. This knife was designed by the Italian designer duo Carallo & Grandis in collaboration with Michelin-starred chef Pietro Leemann and combines Japanese craftsmanship with European design.
The blade is made from high-quality Japanese molybdenum-vanadium steel and has a hardness of 58±1 HRC. The double bevel provides a sharp edge that is ideal for cutting fruit, vegetables and smaller pieces of meat. The handle, made of light bamboo pakka wood, is oval-shaped and tapers toward the bolster, allowing for ergonomic handling. The lightweight, chamfered stainless steel bolster surrounds the full tang and provides additional stability.
Thanks to its low weight, the knife allows for fatigue-free work, even during longer use. The combination of a sharp blade material and an ergonomic handle makes it an indispensable tool in any kitchen. To ensure the longevity of the knife, it is recommended to clean it by hand and use forgiving cutting surfaces such as wood or plastic. Avoid contact with hard surfaces like granite or metal to preserve the edge.
