Güde Alpha Pear Chef's Knife 16 cm - CVM Knife Steel - Handle Scales Pear Wood
Nothing, absolutely nothing is more important than a decent chef's knife. No matter what requirements may come, with a chef's knife you can tackle almost any cutting task. Admittedly: sometimes very easy, sometimes more difficult, and sometimes very complicated. In the end, however, it somehow works with the chef's knife. Because a good chef's knife is MacGyver and Chuck Norris in one tool.
The small Alpha Pear chef's knife has a wide and 16 cm long blade made of stainless, hand-sharpened chrome-vanadium-molybdenum knife steel. The blade is rigid and slightly rounded towards the tip. This allows for easy and precise processing of food using the rocking cut technique. The chef's knife is suitable for almost 90% of all cutting tasks.
Güde knives are hand-forged from a single piece of chrome-vanadium-molybdenum steel, from the tip of the blade to the double bolster. The double bolster, a special feature of Güde knives, acts as a counterweight to the blade. The knife is perfectly balanced. The special mixture of the steel and the elaborate manufacturing process with over 30 manual steps give the stainless blades a special robustness and durability with a hardness of about 58 HRC.
The finely polished handle scales made of pear wood are embedded in the steel and triple-riveted. Pear wood is extremely hard with a finely structured, velvety grain. The Alpha Pear series was launched on the occasion of Güde's inclusion by the Jeunes Restaurateurs d’Europe, Germany section, into the circle of Preferred Suppliers. The association's logo is engraved in the double bolster.
