Details

The Spick & Garnier knife is primarily designed for larding meat, as the tip allows for precise and accurate cuts. Additionally, this knife can be used to beautifully cut fruits and vegetables for decoration. Spick & Garnier knives can confidently be called small all-purpose knives, suitable for fine cutting work, peeling, and so on.

The medium Alpha Birne larding knife has a 10 cm long, narrow, and pointed blade made of rust-free and hand-sharpened Chrom-Vanadium-Molybdenum knife steel. The blade is rigid and allows for good guidance.

Güde knives are hand-forged from a single piece of Chrom-Vanadium-Molybdenum steel, from the tip of the blade to the double bolster. The double bolster, a special feature of Güde knives, provides a counterweight to the blade. The knife is perfectly balanced. The special steel blend and the elaborate manufacturing process with over 30 manual steps give the rust-free blades with a hardness of approximately 58 HRC a special robustness and durability.

The finely polished pear wood handle scales are embedded in the steel and triple-riveted. Pear wood is extremely hard with a finely structured, velvety grain. The Alpha Birne series was launched on the occasion of Güde's inclusion in the circle of preferred suppliers by the Jeunes Restaurateurs d'Europe, Section Germany. The association's logo is engraved in the double bolster.
