Güde Alpha Pear Herb Knife Shark 14 cm - CVM Knife Steel - Handle Scales Pear Wood
Cutting herbs with a mezzaluna can become cumbersome, as you have no free hand to hold the herbs. With the Shark herb knife from Güde, you can cut herbs with a rocking motion using one hand while fixing the herbs with the other. But please don't ask us why the knife is called Shark.
The Alpha Pear Shark herb knife has a 14 cm long, wide, and very curved blade made of stainless, hand-sharpened chrome-vanadium-molybdenum knife steel. The curved blade can be rocked back and forth. It is perfect for cutting herbs, onions, garlic, and much more, even to the rhythm of a waltz.
Güde knives are hand-forged from a single piece of chrome-vanadium-molybdenum steel, from the tip of the blade to the double bolster. The double bolster, a special feature of Güde knives, acts as a counterbalance to the blade. The knife is perfectly balanced. The special mix of steel and the elaborate manufacturing process with over 30 manual steps give the stainless blades a special robustness and durability, with a hardness of about 58 HRC.
The finely polished handle scales made of pear wood are embedded in the steel and triple-riveted. Pear wood is extremely hard with a finely structured, velvety grain. The Alpha Pear series was launched on the occasion of Güde's inclusion by the Jeunes Restaurateurs d’Europe, Germany section, into the circle of Preferred Suppliers. The association's logo is engraved in the double bolster.
