Nesmuk Soul 3.0

Nesmuk Soul

"The knife is one of the oldest tools in human history. If you want to change this cultural symbol, the challenge is to rethink ergonomics, technology, and tradition. At Nesmuk, craftsmanship and modern technology combine to create perfect design: a knife as a functional product on the border between craftsmanship and art." (Quote from the Nesmuk brand)

"Finds from the early days of human history show that knives have changed little in their basic form. Today, as mass-produced items, they are more or less disposable. The Nesmuk Soul knife, crafted to perfection down to the smallest detail, expresses a new appreciation for the art of knife-making."

These words are a creed for Nesmuk. The Solingen-based manufacturer works according to these words, with never-ending passion, mature craftsmanship, and constantly growing knowledge, to create a new class of cutting tools that fascinate and inspire in functional and aesthetic terms.

The Blade of the Nesmuk Soul Series

The soul of the Nesmuk Soul Series is reflected in the blade design, outstanding cutting performance, and optimal balance between sharpness and durability. The blade (3 mm thick for chef's knives, 1.5 mm thick for office knives, and 2 mm thick for slicers) with a tested hardness of approximately 60 HRC is made of patented, rust-resistant high-performance steel. It contains niobium, a very rare Brazilian heavy metal that provides high toughness and an extremely fine structure. This is the guarantee for long-lasting durability and enables exceptional sharpness. The single-sided hollow grind, which extends discreetly over the entire blade surface, allows for low weight and excellent cutting performance.

Five types of knives to choose from

The chef's knife with a blade length of 18 cm or 14 cm is undoubtedly the ultimate all-rounder. The blade shape is a mixture of Japanese Santoku and European chef's knife. The single-sided hollow grind, which extends discreetly over the entire blade surface, allows for low weight and excellent cutting durability.

The slicer, also known as a fillet knife, has a blade length of 16 cm or 26 cm. The slicer is perfect for filleting and boning. The wedge grind in combination with the slightly flexible blade allows you to cut paper-thin slices.

The paring knife - blade length 9 cm and a total length of 19.5 cm - is perfect for all finer work, prepping and of course peeling. The wedge grind ensures precision and ease.

The bread knife has a blade length of 27 cm. The serrated edge has two differently designed teeth, so that all types of bread (hard & soft) can be effortlessly sliced. In addition, the special design protects the cutting surface and causes less scratching.

The Chinese chef's knife also has a blade length of 18 cm and can also be safely called an all-rounder. The rocking cut is just as easy as chopping and thanks to the wide blade, the cut food can be easily transported to a pot, pan or bowl.

The handle is available in fine wood or high-performance plastic

The solid and seamless handle is manufactured including a brushed stainless steel ferrule and is available in various fine wood variants such as olive, grenadilla, fossil bog oak, as well as in the high-performance plastics Micarta and Juma. The design is aesthetic as well as practical and allows for fatigue-free work. The ferrule made of matt brushed stainless steel creates a harmonious transition between handle and blade.

Packaging and certificate of authenticity included

The knives are delivered in a high-quality, matt black box, including a certificate of authenticity.

The Nesmuk Soul series is pure fascination. The urge to make perfect knives becomes immediately apparent with the first cut. And after that, you never want to put it down again.
