Güde Kappa Peeling Knife 6 cm - Blade and Handle made of CVM Steel
With any knife, you can technically peel, but with a paring knife, you can bring vegetables and fruit to an even more perfect shape. In kitchen jargon, peeling and shaping is called "tourner." This is where half-moon shaped potatoes are often carved.
The Kappa paring knife has a 6 cm long, curved blade made of rust-free and hand-sharpened chrome-vanadium-molybdenum steel. The curved tip, also known as the "knee," allows for extremely precise fine and round cuts.
Güde knives are hand-forged from a single piece of chrome-vanadium-molybdenum steel, from the blade tip to the double bolster. The double bolster, a special feature of Güde knives, provides a counterbalance to the blade. The knife is perfectly balanced. The special steel blend and the elaborate manufacturing process with over 30 manual steps give the rust-free blades with a hardness of approximately 58 HRC a special robustness and durability.
The blade and handle are made from a single piece of steel. The extremely hygienic handle with its polished surface fits perfectly and securely in the hand. The full metal construction provides the knives with a unique weight distribution and balance.
