Details

Your cookware deserves the right lid: the de Buyer Alchimy glass lid with a 32 cm diameter and stainless steel knob is the ideal complement to your pots and pans. Made from durable safety glass set in a stainless steel rim, it gives you a clear view of your food at all times without having to lift the lid. That way you can keep an eye on the cooking process, whether slow-braising a hearty goulash or gently simmering a delicate soup.

The wide rim of the lid extends deep into the pot or pan and ensures a secure fit that minimizes heat loss. The screwed stainless steel knob sits comfortably in the hand and remains cool even at high temperatures. An integrated steam vent prevents excessive pressure from building up under the lid, which is particularly advantageous when cooking rice or steaming vegetables.

This universal lid fits pots, saucepans, sautés, and most pans with the same diameter. However, note that it is not suitable for Lyonnaise-shaped pans, such as those found in de Buyer series like Mineral B, Choc Resto, Alchimy, Affinity, Inocuivre and Prima Matera. For these specific pans, it is advisable to use the corresponding de Buyer universal lids.

The Alchimy glass lid is oven-safe up to 250°C and dishwasher-safe, making cleaning easier. Whether you want to braise a tender coq au vin or prepare an aromatic vegetable skillet — with this lid you are well equipped.
